Knowing that one of the stories behind TJ client Fulton East goes beyond the sleek look of the 12-story office structure itself, Taylor Johnson successfully pitched a profile to RE Journals on the developer and builder’s commitment to a design-build approach for this Fulton Market District project. Fulton East partners Bob Wislow, chairman and CEO of Parkside Realty, and Bob Clark, chairman and CEO of Clayco, discussed the myriad benefits to combining the design and construction teams on Fulton East from the beginning, which includes working with architecture firm Lamar Johnson Collaborative. From streamlining collaboration among the design, engineering, construction and subcontractor teams to enabling tenants to be involved in the interior design early on, Fulton East showcases the many advantages of the design-build model, including increased speed to market.


Fulton East, a 90,000-square-foot office and retail building now available for lease in Chicago’s Fulton Market District, is incorporating the design-build model to streamline processes and increase speed to market.
