We like to stage Experiential Events that engage people, and get them involved and interacting with each other.
PRIMITIVE Art Gallery, home to Chicago’s largest collection of Asian artifacts, was the perfect venue to celebrate our new partnership and 30th anniversary, by honoring the past, the present and the future.
The brown and orange color palette we chose represented our new company logo colors. Orange spotlights highlighted the exterior of the building; contemporary dancers in nude body suits draped orange and brown chiffon scarves around themselves as they danced in the windows; and chilled butternut squash soup in shot glasses, along with a sushi bar and other Asian delicacies, were served.
Moving from these “sensual experiences” to “interactive experiences,” guests were invited to fill out personal Wish Cards which will be delivered to Katmandu, blessed by holy men, and returned to each sender. They could also pour water over an ancient lingam and make another wish for “the good of the world” before touring the Buddha Room. If guests wanted to merely visit with each other, they could relax in several comfortable, lounge-type seating areas and be served. Or, they could wander around PRIMITIVE’s first and second floors to enjoy its many famous artifacts.
From the custom orange martini that greeted our guests upon arrival to the lucky bamboo plant they received before leaving, we made this event a continual flow of interesting and fun experiences to be remembered for a long time.
Experiential Events create buzz. TJO stages events that delight, surprise and entertain people. We pay careful attention to each of the five senses when planning events. What message do you want your guests to take away with them? What venue and lighting will best set the stage? What experiences will get strangers talking to each other? We have had three decades to test our creativity and create unique events for clients who want to keep their guests talking and coming back for more.
