Having worked with the Trump organization a few years ago to coordinate its 600-person Private Preview at the Peninsula Hotel in Chicago, we were excited to be called upon once again to stage another event. This time it was to promote a new broker incentive program for Trump International Hotel & Tower – Chicago.
With only a 10-day head start, it was a frenzy of preparations. But ultimately, when Mr. Trump and his entourage filed into the sales office to the tune of Sinatra’s “My Kind of Town,” it was the type of pumped-up experience everyone had expected it would be. The controlled chaos, off-the-cuff remarks, and incredible incentives had all 200 invited brokers smiling, clapping and generally in awe of the Trump charisma. The energy of this event, along with an earlier press conference at the building site, had all of Chicago buzzing.
