Cirrus And Cascade Add ‘A Great Final Touch’ To Lakeshore East Park

June 18, 2020

There are many reasons to be excited about the rise of Cirrus and Cascade, a pair of residential towers being developed by Taylor Johnson client Lendlease and Magellan Development Group at the confluence of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. One public benefit that has captured the attention of Chicagoans — and local media — is Cascade Park, a publicly accessible green space designed by Claude Cormier + Associés that, when complete, will create a new connection to the Lakefront Trail and Chicago Riverwalk. Taylor Johnson recently worked with a reporter from New Eastside News on a profile of the development, which is designed by bKL Architecture and represents one of the final components of the Lakeshore East master plan. Read more here about how Cirrus and Cascade will enhance the Chicago skyline while improving access to the city’s two waterfronts.

Lendlease and Magellan Development Group are improving access to the lakefront with a public park adjacent to Cirrus and Cascade. Designed by Claude Cormier + Associés, it will feature a sloping walkway, dog run, outdoor living rooms and passive wellness features.
