From Potato Chips To A Career Path In Affordable Housing

October 14, 2020

As we work with clients to ensure their stories are being told, we also learn more about the people on their teams. Sometimes the origins of how people started working in real estate are so compelling or unique, we seek out opportunities to tell the story behind the story. Such was the case with Kim Sisney, vice president of the Habitat Affordable Group at Taylor Johnson client The Habitat Company. Sisney was working for a potato chip maker while attending classes at night when she answered a job ad that ultimately led her to a 27-year career (and counting) in affordable housing. Knowing this, we reached out to Bisnow recommending Sisney for the media outlet’s new Origin Stories feature. Read her full story here.

Kim Sisney started out working for a potato chip maker. Today, she manages more than 12,000 affordable units in Chicago and St. Louis as vice president of the Habitat Affordable Group.
