Taylor Johnson client Fulton East, the nation’s first new-construction office building to incorporate technology that makes working at the office safer, more hygienic and more comfortable, recently proved it’s ready for primetime. TJ offered the ABC7 I-Team exclusive access to the 12-story, 90,000-square-foot office and retail building at 215 N. Peoria St. in Chicago’s Fulton Market District for a demo of the MAD Elevator Inc.’s new Toe-To-Go (T2G) hands-free elevator system and the hospital-grade airPHX (“air fix”) system that provides employees with cleaner air and work surfaces. Reporter Jason Knowles interviewed Bob Wislow, chairman and CEO of Fulton East developer Parkside Realty, Inc., and toured the building’s unique outdoor spaces, such as the 9-by-27-foot private outdoor balconies on every floor and the rooftop park. These outdoor spaces are in high demand, as tenants want employees to be able to easily access fresh air and work outside if they choose. Now available for lease, Fulton East also features touchless entry and bathroom fixtures, thermal scanning in the lobby and microbicidal paint in bathrooms that kills bacteria and viruses.
