There’s a new vibrancy around Chicago’s Michigan Avenue bridge, with the Apple Store, Riverwalk, Chicago Architecture Center and more all drawing crowds.

When CoStar wanted to profile a developer active in that area, we knew just who to suggest — Mark Goodman, president of Taylor Johnson client Mark Goodman & Associates. Goodman’s firm owns 22,000 square feet of prime retail space in the 56-story high-rise at 405 N. Wabash, directly behind the Wrigley Building. Goodman envisions a new “River Retail” district between the Wrigley Building and Trump International Hotel & Tower catering to the nearby foot traffic of Michigan and Wabash avenues, tourism boats, water taxi service and full-time residents of area buildings, including the new Renelle on the River condo building by TJ client Belgravia Group, which is opening next door to 405 N. Wabash in spring 2019. To see more of what Goodman envisions for the area, and why “River Retail” is a bargain compared to Michigan Avenue retail prices, read the full interview here.
