A sweet spot for Taylor Johnson client Evergreen Real Estate Group is working with nonprofit partners that provide housing and other services to at-risk populations. The firm recently completed a $3 million renovation of the Steven Michael Carroll House, a 36-unit affordable rental community in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood that is owned and operated by Thresholds, one of the state’s oldest and largest providers of recovery services for persons with mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Evergreen updated both residences and common areas through a phased renovation that allowed residents to remain in the community as improvements were made.
