With its prime Lake Shore Drive location on the last undeveloped lakefront parcel in Chicago’s Gold Coast, 61 Banks Street, a new boutique rental building by Taylor Johnson client Draper and Kramer, Incorporated, has caught the eye of prospective residents and media alike since construction started in early 2018. As pre-leasing began for the eight-story, 58-unit property prior to anticipated first move-ins this May, TJ updated media on 61 Banks Street’s status and shared renderings of its amenities and residences, including two- and three-bedroom apartments and a selection of maisonettes with private entrances along the base of the community. The project was subsequently featured in a variety of outlets, including Curbed Chicago, Chicago Architecture Blog, RE Journals and MultifamilyBiz.com.
