727 West Madison, a new 45-story luxury apartment building in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, recently won several prestigious design awards from industry associations and civic leaders. Developed by Chicago-based partners Fifield Cos. and F&F Realty, Ltd., the elliptical tower that stands as the tallest building west of the Loop was designed by FitzGerald Associates Architects, with interiors by Morgante Wilson Architects, and is managed by Bozzuto.

The recent awards received by 727 West Madison include four Key Awards from the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago. The awards were for Multifamily Apartment Urban Complex Over 350 Units; Amenity Design for Urban Complex Over 350 Units; Interior Design – Community Space; and Outdoor Spaces. 727 also received two CAMME awards from the Chicago Apartment Association : one for Innovative Design and another for Studio/Efficiency/Convertible Model Under $15,000 for its model decorated by Cort Furniture. And for its overall contribution to the city, 727 received Best New Building from Friends of Downtown.

“These awards top off an exciting year for 727 West Madison, which has received accolades from community groups, industry peers, architecture critics and, most of all, our residents,” said David Friedman, president of F&F Realty, which owns 727 West Madison. “When we consider the transformation of this project from its beginning as an underutilized parking lot to its completion as a new gleaming gateway to one of the city’s hottest neighborhoods, it is extremely satisfying to be recognized for all of the hard work and ingenuity contributed by our various partners.”

The 492-unit building includes studio, convertible, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, ranging from approximately 500 to 1,550-plus square feet, with the 45th-floor, two-bedroom penthouse sized at 1,800 square feet. Amenities including a resort-style pool and sun deck, a fitness and wellness center, party room with demonstration kitchen, coffee bar and residents’ lounge, golf simulator, coworking spaces, business and conference center, library with fireplace, and a dog spa and dog run. The penthouse-level Sky Lounge, a membership-based amenity designed by West Loop-based Studio K for exclusive use of 727 residents, is the tallest entertaining space in the West Loop.

“Every detail of this building was well-considered, from the iconic design that gives the building prominence in Chicago’s expanding skyline to the style, function and comfort of the individual apartments and shared amenity spaces,” said Lindsey Senn, executive vice president of Fifield Cos. “727 West Madison has addressed the demand for the kind of upscale and engaging apartment living that appeals to residents living in a vibrant neighborhood like the West Loop. From the awards we’ve received to the leasing velocity we’ve experienced, the response to this building has been overwhelmingly positive.”

The 727 West Madison leasing center is located at the building and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. For more information or to schedule a tour of the model residences and amenities, call (312) 819-7300 or visit www.727westmadison.com.
