F&F Realty, Ltd., owner and operator of The Grand at Twin Lakes, a resort-style, independent living senior community located in the northwest Chicago suburb of Palatine, today announced Melissa Cosentino, MSW, CDP, has joined The Grand as executive director.
Located at 920 E. Northwest Highway, The Grand at Twin Lakes features 118 apartments, including studio and one-bedroom units, along with 24-hour, on-site medical staffing and a la carte healthcare services via Advent Home Health Services, Inc. The community encourages an active lifestyle and engagement among residents, with 39% of the building dedicated to shared amenities. It is also adjacent to the 10-acre Twin Lakes Golf Course & Recreation Area.

Most recently, Cosentino was director of social services at Central Baptist Village in Norridge, Ill., a 247-unit life plan community. Prior to that, she was regional operations manager of Quincy, Mass.-based Connected Living, where she oversaw the staff of senior living communities in the Midwest across five states. Early in her career, she worked for Brookdale Senior Living in Chicago in marketing and sales.
Cosentino is also a leadership academy fellow with LeadingAge Illinois, an association for providers serving the complex needs of older adults, and the founder and executive director of a charitable organization called One Dream, which works to help seniors fulfill lifelong dreams and wishes.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in health services management, with a focus on long-term care, from Western Illinois University and a master’s degree in social work, with a focus on gerontology and mental health, from Loyola University Chicago.
