Ever since its founding 165 years ago, giving back has been firmly entrenched in the DNA of Taylor Johnson client and family-owned independent real estate firm Baird & Warner. In fact, 90% of Baird & Warner’s agents across its 24 offices volunteer or donate to help not-for-profit organizations. In honor of November’s National Philanthropy Day, we pitched Inman a focus on independent brokerages giving back to their communities. The resulting story features insights from fifth-generation Baird & Warner President and CEO Steve Baird and his daughter, Lucy Baird, archivist for the firm, on why helping the Chicagoland communities Baird & Warner serves is so important to its company mission. This year alone, the firm announced $289,000 in donations to the Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund.
