Evergreen Breaks Ground On Pioneering Affordable Senior Housing Community In Evanston
Introducing its fourth new affordable senior housing community over the past two years, Taylor Johnson client Evergreen Real Estate Group, along with CJE SeniorLife, recently broke ground on Evanston Senior Housing, a 60-unit affordable rental community in Evanston, Ill. Executives were joined by U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, Evanston Mayor Stephen H. Hagerty, 8th Ward Ald. Ann Rainey, officials from the Illinois Housing Development Authority and other partners at a socially distanced groundbreaking ceremony. Evergreen Construction Company, a division of Evergreen, is general contractor for the $25 million project, located next to the existing CJE SeniorLife Adult Day Services center, which also will receive improvements.
