Fulton East Office Building Opens In Chicago’s Fulton Market District
Designed for tenants seeking space with abundant daylighting and easy access to fresh air, Taylor Johnson client Fulton East, a 12-story office and retail building in Chicago’s Fulton Market District, recently celebrated its opening. As the nation’s first new-construction, next-generation office building incorporating health- and wellness-focused technology for the COVID-19 era, the development, located at 215 N. Peoria St., is teeming with biophilic design features, such as an 8,000-square-foot rooftop park, balconies on every floor, 12-foot floor-to-floor spans and floor-to-ceiling windows, providing tenants with the maximum amount of light, air and views. Developer Parkside Realty, Inc. and the design-build team at Clayco quickly pivoted during construction to add MAD Elevator Inc.’s new Toe-To-Go hands-free elevator system and airPHX (“air fix”) non-thermal, plasma technology to provide employees with cleaner air and work surfaces. With TJ’s outreach, news of the opening earned coverage in outlets such as Chicago Business Journal, Bisnow Chicago’s Deal Sheet, Connect Chicago, RE Journals, REBusinessOnline and Commercial Architecture.
