Mural At Fifield Cos.’ Westerly Adds Character To The Community And The Kennedy Commute
What do you do when you are developing a building with an alley visible to all in Chicago’s River West neighborhood? If you are Taylor Johnson client Fifield Cos., a company with a history of working art into developments, you engage a local street artist to create a mural that not only riffs off the community’s character but also offers some eye candy to commuters on the Kennedy Expressway.
Knowing artist Sentrock’s uplifting mural created for Westerly, the recently opened 188-unit apartment building near the Milwaukee Avenue corridor, has a wow factor, the TJ Team took the images and story behind them to the Chicago Sun-Times, which featured the piece in its “Murals and Mosaics” series.
