To 7B or not to 7B?

When Taylor Johnson client NAI Hiffman told us Golf Tower, a 280,000-square-foot office building it’s leasing at 2550 W. Golf Road in Rolling Meadows, Ill., earned a 7B tax incentive, we asked Hiffman Senior Vice President Jack Reardon to tell us more about the designation. It turns out 7B reduces the rate at which a commercial property is assessed, potentially saving owners millions of dollars – savings that can be passed to tenants. This means in addition to being a well-located, headquarters-sized “blank canvas” tenants can customize to their needs, Golf Tower can also offer reduced rent.
Knowing Daily Herald Business Ledger readers would be interested in how a 7B designation can benefit Cook County building owners, tenants and municipalities, we secured a byline for Reardon focused on Golf Tower as an example of this tax incentive opportunity. See the article here.

Golf Tower, which earned a 7B designation, is a well-located, headquarters-sized “blank canvas” office building now leasing in Rolling Meadows, Ill.
