Industry veteran brings 18 years of experience to role, with recent focus on corporate interior design
BKV Group, a holistic, multidisciplinary design firm, today announced Jackie Wilcox, AIA, LEED AP, IIDA, has joined the firm as director of interior design and an associate partner in the company’s Chicago practice site. In this role, she will lead interior design for projects based out of the Chicago office, and related business development opportunities, working across market sectors including commercial office, multifamily, government, hospitality, education and student, senior and affordable housing.
“Jackie has a proven track record of creating high-performing interior environments that prioritize the needs and expectations of their occupants, with an emphasis on overall well-being,” said Kelly Naylor, interior design practice leader and partner with BKV Group. “Her perspective on how lifestyles have changed in response to the pandemic will be invaluable not only to our commercial office clients, many of which are in the process of reassessing their workplace requirements, but also to multifamily and hospitality developers that are incorporating many of the same live-work features into their own projects.”
Prior to joining BKV Group, Wilcox served as project director for Chicago-based Partners by Design, where she focused exclusively on local corporate interior design and led prominent projects from concept to completion. These included several sites for Medline Industries – most recently, its new 50,000-square-foot space at the Merchandise Mart – Convene at 333 N. Green St. in Fulton Market and CommonGrounds Workplace at 33 N. LaSalle St. in the city’s financial district. She previously worked at Eckenhoff Saunders Architects in Chicago for nearly eight years, where she led award-winning projects such as The Michael and Karyn Lutz Center for After School Matters, Early Childhood Learning Center for Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School and the Hyatt House Hotel in Fulton Market.
“My new role with BKV Group allows me to get back to my roots working across disciplines, and I am excited for the opportunity to mentor teams, recruit talent and build upon preexisting relationships that support BKV’s continued growth,” said Wilcox.
Wilcox holds a B.S. in architectural studies from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the International Interior Design Association.
