M/I Homes of Chicago, one of the top homebuilders in the Chicagoland area, is helping buyers realize their 2022 homeownership dreams with the return of its Dream Big sales event, starting on Wednesday, August 17, and running through September 18.

During the Dream Big sales event, available promotions will vary by community and floor plan. Special offers could include free Dream Kitchen features such as quartz or granite countertops, upgraded cabinets and stainless steel appliances, or a special ‘bonus pick’ that allows buyers to choose an upgrade of approximately $2,000 to $5,000 in value.
Sales written on August 17 through August 31 are eligible for a 3.875% interest rate – resulting in significantly lower monthly payments than buyers would get with current average mortgage rates – or extended long-term rate locks when qualifying buyers use M/I Financial, a subsidiary of M/I Homes that offers financial services and mortgage programs. M/I Financial will also cover various amounts of closing costs, up to $4,500, with the 3.875% interest rate for qualifying homes and buyers.
“In today’s rising-rate environment, the benefit and security that comes with locking in a low rate means buyers could potentially save hundreds of dollars on their monthly payment, compared to where rates are now,” said Bonk. “Paired with the assistance we’re offering with closing costs, we’re making it easier for buyers to enter the market, or simply have the breathing room in their budgets for additional options and upgraded features that will help create the home they’ve always wanted.”
M/I Homes is offering Dream Big incentives across 21 of its active Chicagoland communities, including townhome and single-family home developments.
