Evanston, Ill.-based Morgante Wilson Architects, Ltd., a leading architecture and interior design firm, today announced it has promoted Tomoe Yunoki from architectural interiors project manager to associate, architectural interior designer.

“Tomoe has been an invaluable part of our team since launching her career in architecture and design as a student intern with MWA nearly a decade ago, which began a professional trajectory that has seen her stepping into increasingly senior positions and leadership roles based on her talent and deepening expertise,” said Elissa Morgante, co-founding partner of Morgante Wilson Architects (MWA) along with her husband and business partner, Fred Wilson. “As a family-owned company with a culture that prioritizes developing staff, we’re proud to see Tomoe’s growth and look forward to her accomplishments in this new role.”

In her new position, Yunoki will continue to oversee all phases of interior architecture in residential projects, from design to punch list. She will also take on added responsibilities, including protocol and procedure development and mentorship of junior design staff.

Yunoki joined MWA in 2015 as an intern before accepting a full-time position as an interior design sample coordinator, responsible for organizing, cataloging and evaluating sample fabrics, materials and products. She has since been promoted to interior architect/junior designer and, most recently, to architectural interiors project manager, a position she held for more than three years before her latest promotion to associate, architectural interior designer.

She is a graduate of Columbia College of Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in interior architecture.
