Rental community will add much-needed housing to the growing area, halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee
Bond Companies, a leading real estate development and investment firm, today announced the start of construction on Inspire Prairie Springs in Pleasant Prairie, Wis. The first phase of the project, set to be completed in early 2027, will include 332 units across three residential buildings, as well as an amenity clubhouse.
“Due to its business-friendly environment and ideal location, a number of employers have expanded their footprints in Pleasant Prairie, fueling steady demand for workforce housing,” said Rob Bond, co-founder and president, Bond Companies. “Inspire Prairie Springs meets that need head on, offering modern, attainable living with unparalleled access to nature and amenities.”
Designed by RINKA with Stevens Construction Corp. acting as general contractor, the three-story, garden-style buildings will feature a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts ranging from 500 to 1,405 square feet. In each elevator-served building, residents will have access to a lobby amenity suite featuring a lounge, coworking space, package room and bicycle and resident storage. An additional third-floor resident lounge will include communal seating, a wet bar and an outdoor patio.
Located on a 66-acre site at the southeast corner of 110th Street and 116th Avenue, Inspire Prairie Springs will be the newest residential community in the area offering direct access to underground parking, providing added convenience for residents in all seasons. The development will also include EV charging stations, with infrastructure in place to expand capacity as demand increases
Clubhouse amenities at Inspire Prairie Springs have been thoughtfully designed to support a range of resident needs, from wellness and work to social engagement. Offerings will include a fully equipped fitness center, golf simulator, coworking space, resident lounge and a dog wash facility. A party room featuring Table Tap technology — a self-pour beverage system — will foster a dynamic atmosphere at social and professional gatherings.
The community will also boast an outdoor pool, pickleball courts, putting green, outdoor fitness space, dog park, playground, recreation trail, cabanas, fire pits, grilling stations and a car care station with a vacuum and power washer available to residents. With protected views to the adjacent Des Plaines River Conservatory, residents who enjoy an active lifestyle can take advantage of the hiking and biking trails encircling the property.
“Inspire Prairie Springs brings together high-quality amenities, access to a growing list of nearby employers and a convenient commute to two major downtown areas,” said Bond. “Framed by a serene and natural landscape, it’s a community where convenience and lifestyle come together.”
Nearby attractions include the 400,000-square-foot Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets immediately west of the project, the Pleasant Prairie RecPlex multisport recreational facility and the Bristol Renaissance Faire. Major employers in the area include Microsoft, Amazon, SC Johnson, Pfizer, Foxconn, Abbott, Grainger, Uline, Eli Lilly and Haribo.
Situated in the Chicago metropolitan area and less than 2 miles from the Illinois-Wisconsin border, Inspire Prairie Springs is equidistant from downtown Chicago and downtown Milwaukee. It is just 35 minutes north of O’Hare International Airport.
A second phase of construction is planned for 378 units across five three-story residential buildings and another amenity clubhouse. When that phase is completed in 2028, the combined 710 units will make Inspire Prairie Springs one of the largest multifamily developments ever in Kenosha County.
