“Kettering Estates is our largest new-home community yet in Chicago, which means we’re able to offer buyers a tremendous range of choices in this terrific Lemont location,” said Ron Martin, region president of M/I Homes. “Buyers can select from 10 different floor plans, including two ranch designs, and a wide variety of home sites including cul-de-sac locations and lots backing up to the Oak Woodland Preserve. And with our three new model homes, buyers are able to see a great sampling of finishes and options available to personalize their home. No matter what a buyer is looking for, they’re sure to find a home to match their lifestyle among all we have to offer at Kettering Estates.”

The 10 available floor plans at Kettering Estates are priced from $331,990 to $451,990 and measure 2,095 to 3,815 square feet. Ranch and two-story home designs have two to four bedrooms, 2 to 3½ baths and attached two- or three-car garages.

Among the new model homes at Kettering Estates is the Fairbanks, a 2,986-square-foot home priced from $367,990. It features four bedrooms and 2½ baths, as well as a first-floor den, second-floor bonus room and a two-car garage. The model also shows upgraded features and finishes such as hardwood floors, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, which are paired with complementary wall paint colors, lighting selections and plumbing fixtures.

“Our M/I designers are experts at helping buyers create a fully coordinated look with the finishes they select, and with so many different choices available, buyers will be able to achieve exactly the style they want,” said Cheryl Bonk, vice president of sales and marketing for M/I Homes. “Buyers can also choose from a number of special features to add to their home, such as the built-ins, custom fireplace and luxury master bath option shown in our Fairbanks model.”

Also showing a range of finishes and upgraded features is the Hudson model, a 3,097-square-foot home priced from $411,990. Highlights of the four-bedroom, 2½-bath plan include a two-story family room, large mudroom adjacent to the attached three-car garage, and a second-floor laundry room. The model also shows options such as a breakfast bay, upgraded kitchen, and a luxury master bath with dual vanities and separate shower and soaking tub.

The largest of the three models features the 3,500-square-foot Keating plan, which is priced from $431,990 and includes four bedrooms, 2½ baths and an attached three-car garage. Among the unique features in the Keating model are a two-story foyer and family room, dual staircases to the second floor, and a mudroom with an e-zone for storing and charging electronic devices. Options shown in the model include an en suite bath for one of the secondary bedrooms and a full basement with 9-foot ceilings.
Kettering Estates is served by the Lemont – Bromberek Combined School District 113A and Lemont Township High School District 210. The community offers convenient access to transportation thoroughfares including Interstates 355 and 55 and Route 83, while Lemont’s Metra station provides service to downtown Chicago via the Heritage Corridor Line.

Residents of Kettering Estates have easy access to nearby recreational amenities such as the Heritage Quarries Recreation Area, which features biking and hiking along the I&M Canal, and a host of prestigious golf courses including the top-rated Cog Hill Golf and Country Club.

Homes at all M/I Homes communities come standard with the builder’s industry-leading 30-Year Transferable Structural Warranty, which not only allows buyers to purchase with confidence, but also adds value if the home is sold in the future. All homes are also WHOLE HOME Certified, an M/I Homes designation indicating the builder’s superior approach when constructing homes. Upon testing, an M/I home will receive a more favorable HERS (Home Energy Rating System) score than an Energy Star-certified home, which can save buyers upwards of 30 percent on their energy bills. A lower HERS Index means lower energy costs, and on average an M/I home achieves a HERS rating of 60, considerably lower than other builders in the market.
