Built in 1998, Estates at Fountain Lake in Houston was still relatively young when Taylor Johnson client Prime Property Investors (PPI) acquired it in 2014. Still, PPI knew property improvements would increase the community’s rents and long-term value, and help it compete with newer luxury apartments in the area, so the developer implemented a value-add strategy to update all 306 units and amenity spaces. PPI recently discussed the renovations with Multi-Housing News, highlighting the growing demand for upscale rental housing in Houston’s red-hot apartment market.
