Chicago-based Lexington Homes announces it has opened three decorated model homes at Lexington Crossing, a community of 54 townhomes in the heart of northwest suburban Rolling Meadows. Sales at the community are underway, with first move-ins scheduled for April 2016.

Located at the intersection of Kirchoff and Library roads – a half-mile east of Route 53 and less than five minutes from Interstate 90 – Lexington Crossing combines suburban convenience with urban style. The community’s luxury townhomes range in size from 1,603 to 1,913 square feet and are base-priced from $299,490. Buyers can choose from three floor plans that offer two to three bedrooms, 2½ baths, finished lower level and attached two-car garages.

“The new model homes at Lexington Crossing demonstrate our commitment to providing thoughtfully designed homes enhanced by cutting-edge interior décor that far exceed the expectations of potential buyers,” said Jeff Benach, co-principal of Lexington Homes. “Features and finishes that might be considered an upgrade in a typical new-construction community in this area come standard at Lexington Crossing, which equates to thousands of dollars in savings.”

All three models were professionally decorated by award-winning Eleni Interiors of Naperville and are variations of a layout Benach said is popular with a variety of buyers. Upon entry to each model, potential buyers can go up a half flight of stairs to the main level, which includes a gourmet kitchen that opens into the adjacent dining and great rooms, or they can go down a half flight of stairs to the finished lower level flex space and attached garage entry. Bedrooms are on the upper level and include a master suite featuring a walk-in closet and private master bath with a soaking tub and/or walk-in shower and an elevated, double-bowl vanity with granite countertops. Buyers can choose from plans that come standard with a spacious second bedroom suite and a laundry room adjacent to the bedrooms.

Other standard features include 42-inch upper kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, a large kitchen island with breakfast bar overhang, energy-efficient stainless steel GE appliances, oversized balconies connecting to the kitchen, 3-inch wide hardwood flooring throughout the main level and 12×12-inch ceramic flooring in entryways and baths.

“Buyers coming through these model homes are really impressed with their flexible layouts and how each plan can be tailor-made for them, whether it’s the ability to add a powder room to the lower level or an extra bedroom upstairs,” said Benach. “The variety of distinctive features and high-end options available at Lexington Crossing has also been a big draw.” Referencing Realtor.com’s recent hot list of home features that touted a fireplace as the most popular home feature, Benach noted the homes at Lexington Crossing can be further customized with a contemporary or traditional fireplace, each offering the option for a personalized surround.

Among the new models at Lexington Crossing is The Bristol, a 1,605-square-foot home with two bedrooms and 2½ baths, starting at $299,490. The dark, rich cabinets shown in the gourmet kitchen are complemented by optional sleek white quartz countertops and a subway tile backsplash, while a separate breakfast nook helps define the space. Volume ceilings in the master bedroom lend a sense of openness to the already spacious room.

An end unit, the Warrington model is a 1,758-square-foot home priced from $321,990. The decorated model showcases a two-bedroom, 2½-bath configuration but, buyers have the option of adding a third bedroom to the upper level instead of two master suites. The main-level bonus room – shown as a home office with French doors – adds to the flexibility of this floorplan and can be utilized according to specific buyer needs. The model also features options such as a traditional main-level fireplace and hardwood flooring on the upper level as well as upper cabinets in the second-level laundry room.

“Lexington Crossing is another example of how we give buyers ample opportunity – and at great price points – to add their own personal touch to each plan,” said Benach. “The Warrington has proven especially popular with buyers because of the bonus room, which can be used as an office or children’s playroom, while the lower-level flex space can serve as an additional living area or, as shown in the model, a home gym.”

The largest model is the 1,913-square-foot Coventry plan, priced from $334,490 and featuring three bedrooms – one of which is decorated as a craft room – and 2½ baths. Among the stand-out features of the Coventry model is an optional built-in kitchen buffet. With this floorplan, a buyer can choose from two convenient locations for the laundry room – either adjacent to the kitchen or on the upper level, outside the bedrooms. This model’s great room is anchored by an optional modern fireplace with a striking ceiling-height stone surround, while the available exposed oak and iron stair rails leading to the upper level bring added sophistication to the design. This model also shows an optional deluxe master bath with spacious walk-in shower, soaking tub and attached walk-in closet.

Located less than a mile from the Arlington Heights Metra station, Lexington Crossing offers convenient access to downtown Chicago via the Union Pacific / Northwest Line. In addition, the community is a short drive from O’Hare International Airport, as well as popular shopping, dining and entertainment destinations throughout the northwest suburbs, including Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg.

Residents of Lexington Crossing also have access to a variety of recreational offerings, including Salk Park, which provides opportunities for hiking and biking; and the Nelson Sports Complex, which includes an ice skating rink, Olympic-size swimming pool and a gymnastics center. The community is steps from the Rolling Meadows Public Library and across the street from the Rolling Meadows Shopping Center, which includes a Jewel-Osco grocery store and several restaurants, allowing for a highly walkable lifestyle.

Families at Lexington Crossing are served by Rolling Meadows High School, which was recently included on U.S. News and World Report’s list of the Best High Schools in Illinois.

Lexington Crossing’s on-site sales center, located at 3245 Kirchoff Road, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
