With the 2016-2017 school year just a few weeks away, Taylor Johnson client CA Ventures is already looking ahead to 2018 and beyond. The developer recently broke ground on RISE at Riverfront Crossings, a 575,000-square-foot mixed-use complex just a few blocks from the University of Iowa campus in downtown Iowa City (where TJ’s Emily Johnson, Cara Mooses and Abe Tekippe all completed their undergraduate studies). Slated to deliver in summer 2018, the two-tower development — the largest mixed-use project to be built in Iowa City — will include 332 furnished market-rate apartments, a 151-room Hyatt Place hotel, 25,000 square feet of office space and 6,000 square feet of retail. Knowing the groundbreaking would have wide media appeal, we secured features in the Iowa City Press-Citizen and other regional outlets, as well as national trade publications like Student Housing Business and Multi-Housing News.

RISE at Riverfront Crossings was designed to meet the growing demand for modern hospitality options and amenity-rich rental housing close to the University of Iowa campus and downtown Iowa City.
