When CS Interiors was looking for high-end kitchens and baths to highlight in its fall issue, Taylor Johnson client Morgante Wilson Architects had the perfect project to showcase — the gut rehab of a 4,000-square-foot penthouse that hadn’t been updated in more than 40 years. With vintage-inspired finishes that look original and furniture-like elements chosen to complement the living space, both the kitchen (p. 115) and master bath (p. 119) in this Chicago residence prove that form and function can indeed go hand in hand.
