Waterton Co-Founder Pete Vilim Transitions into New Role
As part of a long-planned transition into semi-retirement, Pete Vilim, co-founder of Taylor Johnson client Waterton, has shifted from his role as co-chairman to vice chairman of the Chicago-based company. In his new position, Vilim will increase his involvement with various organizations dedicated to providing affordable housing and homeless services to low-income families and individuals. Vilim will focus on needs associated with “the space between,” which refers to the widening gap between government-funded housing assistance and conventional income-qualifying rentals. He will retain the second-largest ownership interest in Waterton, as well as his equity stake in all existing Waterton property investments, and continue to be involved in the company’s strategic direction.
