Heritage Harbor’s Penguin Plunge Raises Over $161,000 For Make-A-Wish® Illinois
For the sixth year in a row, Taylor Johnson client Heritage Harbor Ottawa Resort made a big splash for Make-A-Wish®Illinois with its annual Penguin Plunge.
The Jan. 7 event, which challenged residents of Heritage Harbor and the surrounding area to collect pledges for jumping off the dock and into the chilly water at Heritage Harbor Marina, had its highest turnout ever, with 370 participants taking the Plunge and more than 2,500 spectators. In the end, a check was presented to Make-A-Wish Illinois for $161,189. This sets a new record for the event, which for the last several years has been the largest external fundraiser in the state for Make-A-Wish Illinois.
