Related Midwest today announced that construction on One Bennett Park, the developer’s ultra-luxury residential tower at 451 E. Grand Ave. in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood, is running on schedule two years before completion, surpassing the 100-foot milestone. Last week, crews poured the ninth and 10th floors of the 70-story high-rise, slated to be Chicago’s tallest all-residential tower, with topping-off anticipated for early 2018.

Designed by internationally renowned architecture firm Robert A.M. Stern Architects, One Bennett Park will include 69 condominiums and 279 apartments adjacent to a 1.7-acre park by Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates Inc., the firm that designed Maggie Daley Park and The 606 and was recently selected as lead landscape architect for the Obama Presidential Center. Chicago-based Lendlease is serving as the general contractor on One Bennett Park, with Chicago-based GREC Architects as architect of record. The tower broke ground in February 2016 and is scheduled for completion in mid-2019.

“Each day, we’re seeing our vision for One Bennett Park come to life, bringing with it a new standard of vertical homes unparalleled in the Chicago market,” said Curt Bailey, president of Related Midwest. “With Robert A.M. Stern Architects designing both the elegant exterior and gracious interiors of the tower, One Bennett Park will offer homes designed as heirlooms that can be passed down from one generation to the next. We’re proud to continue our legacy of creating iconic Chicago towers designed to stand the test of time.”

Located on floors 41 through 66 of the tower, condominium residences at One Bennett Park will average 3,200 square feet and include two-, three- and four-bedroom floor plans, including three full-floor penthouses. Related Midwest is currently marketing a selection of units ranging in size from 1,737 to 7,500 square feet and priced between $1.85 million and $15 million, with first deliveries scheduled for late 2018.

“Our progress on One Bennett Park is a testament to our team’s experience executing developments of this size and complexity,” said Don Biernacki, senior vice president of construction at Related Midwest. “Despite some weather-related challenges encountered over the winter, we’ve managed to stay on track with our construction schedule. We’ve entered a three-day pour phase, meaning that we’re pouring one full floor in just three days’ time.”
