Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp, one of the Top 100 Mortgage Companies in America, celebrated the grand opening of its new Franklin, Mass., office on Thursday, Feb. 16. Located in Horace Mann Plaza at 150 Emmons St. in downtown Franklin, the office is the first in Massachusetts for Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp. (DKMC), which is the residential mortgage division of full-service real estate firm Draper and Kramer, Incorporated. The new location also marks the mortgage company’s expansion into the New England region on the heels of recent branch openings in five other states: Kentucky (Louisville); Illinois (Oakbrook Terrace); Indiana (St. John); Maryland (Rockville); and Pennsylvania (Doylestown).

Over 125 guests were in attendance for the event and ribbon-cutting, including Laura O’Callaghan, president and CEO of the Milford Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Honorable Jeffrey Roy, state representative for the 10th Norfolk District of Massachusetts. Attendees enjoyed a catered spread of food and beverages while mingling, playing pool and enjoying live guitar music. A 50-inch flat-panel television and an Apple Watch were given away as door prizes.

The Franklin office is helmed by branch manager Michael Dunsky, a 28-year mortgage industry veteran who regularly ranks among both the top 300 and top 1 percent of loan officers in the nation. Dunsky joined DKMC in late 2016 as the company’s first New England loan officer.

“This is an exciting day,” said Dunsky. “I’m thrilled to be a part of the Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp. team and to be officially launching the company’s entry into the New England market from this beautiful space. I can’t wait to fill this office with amazing talent and offer the region’s homebuyers, homeowners, real estate agents and others a competitive new option for their home financing needs.”

Dunsky is joined at the branch by two other recent additions to DKMC: Kevin Kuechler, a top-producing senior loan officer; and Maria Cabrera, sales coordinator and office manager. The office is expected to house approximately fourteen employees once fully staffed.

The sleek and modern new office space is the product of Illinois-based interior designer Margaret Granzeier, and the project build-out was managed by DKMC’s senior vice president of business development, Michael McNerney. Amenities include open and enclosed workspaces, two conference rooms, a lounge area with bar, flat-panel televisions and a pool table.
