Leslie Chappel, a top-producing mortgage originator in the Louisville, Ky., area, has joined Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp. (DKMC) as vice president of residential lending. Chappel was DKMC’s first hire in Louisville, where the company recently celebrated the grand opening of its first branch in the city. Chappel is a leading originator in the region, with a total of 15 years of experience and more than $160 million in loan fundings over the past eight years alone.

Prior to joining DKMC, Chappel served as an originator for three other lenders in Louisville. She is now based out of DKMC’s branch at 9935 Forest Green Blvd. on the city’s East End.

A native of Cynthiana, Ky., Chappel holds a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University. She is licensed in Kentucky and Indiana and is a member of both the Mortgage Bankers Association and Kentucky Real Estate Investors Association.
