Taylor Johnson takes tremendous pride in serving the real estate industry. At its roots, real estate is about community. And right now, communities, in every sense of the word, are hurting. As a real estate PR firm deeply connected to Chicago, we want to help spread the word about one of many organizations doing important work to assist communities hurting in our home city.

My Block, My Hood, My City is a Chicago-based organization providing underprivileged youth with opportunities to grow, with a focus on empathy, hope and civic responsibility. Due to recent events, My Block, My Hood, My City has launched a fundraiser to support the rebuilding of small businesses that have been damaged during the civil unrest, particularly in under-resourced Black communities. Please join us in donating to the fundraiser or in lending your expertise as a volunteer. The organization is seeking those with construction skills and supplies who are able to give their time and resources to help small business owners repair and rebuild. Click here for more information.

Like our city itself, Chicagoans are resilient. We help each other and embrace change. Now is the time for change.

To help educate Chicagoans about racism in America and facilitate conversations among family members, the Chicago Public Library has compiled “Black Lives Matter” reading lists for adultsteens and childrenThrillist.comBucketlisters.com and NBC5 have also put together lists of additional educational resources, as well as other local and national organizations and businesses you can support.
