The city of Chicago recently selected Taylor Johnson client CA Ventures to redevelop two vintage office buildings in the city’s South Loop. The 22-story Consumers Building at 220 S. State St. and the 16-story Century Building at 202 S. State St., as well as two low-rise buildings at 212 and 214 S. State St., will be transformed into 429 apartments as part of the historic preservation project. When complete, the $141 million development will include a mix of fully furnished studio and one-bedroom residences along with 270 micro apartments and 25,000 square feet of street-level retail.
