It’s said you never get a second chance to make a first impression. So, when client Related Midwest entrusted Taylor Johnson to announce The Row Fulton Market — a striking 43-story, 300-unit ultra-luxury rental high-rise along Chicago’s famed Restaurant Row — our teams worked hand-in-hand to coordinate strategies and maximize coverage of the skyline-altering development.
We sat down with the team to develop strategic messaging, select visuals and draft a PR plan to announce the building brand and bring attention to its extensive amenities, unbeatable location and noteworthy design from renowned architect Morris Adjmi. We also set out to shine a spotlight on some of the most unique aspects of The Row, such as it being Fulton Market’s tallest tower, the city’s first high-rise co-led by a Black-owned contractor and one of Chicago’s first so-called “80/20” buildings, with 20% of residences set aside as affordable.
Leveraging our media experience and relationships, Taylor Johnson spearheaded a press strategy that included sending an embargoed first look to priority outlets, with coverage carefully timed to coincide with the launch of the project website. Our outreach resulted in broadcast segments that aired on Fox 32 Chicago, NBC Chicago, CBS Chicago and WBBM Newsradio as well as written placements in Block Club Chicago, Chicago Business Journal, Bisnow, Urbanize, YIMBY, Multi-Housing News, Multifamily Executive, CoStar, Chicago Construction News, REBusinessOnline, Building Design + Construction, REjournals, Connect CRE and more.
Taylor Johnson continues to work with Related to tell stories about The Row Fulton Market and its innovative, place-inspired design. Our team is proud to have led PR for every one of Related Midwest’s ground-up multifamily developments in Chicago over the past decade, dating back to 500 Lake Shore Drive and including notable projects such as OneEleven, Landmark West Loop and One Bennett Park, with national coverage in outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Mansion Global, Dwell, Architectural Digest and Forbes.
