While the visit of Amazon’s search team to Chicago this week is raising hopes the e-commerce giant will decide to build its second headquarters here , real estate experts are confident the success of the city’s megadevelopments like Lincoln Yards, Illinois Medical District and the Old Main Post Office are not wholly dependent on landing HQ2.
