Congratulations to Taylor Johnson client FitzGerald Associates Architects for winning the Structural Ingenuity award for the second year in a row at CANstruction, the annual design-and-build event benefiting the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Its winning sculpture, entitled Eroding Hunger, is designed as three eroding pillars that seemingly defy the laws of gravity. Using 5,350 canned goods, the FitzGerald team wanted its submission to evoke the precarious situation of hungry citizens in our community. Celebrating its 10th year, CANstruction Chicago is the Food Depository’s largest one-day food drive.
