With green topics on everyone’s mind during Earth Month in April, Taylor Johnson connected Illinois Real Estate Journal with architecture firm client Wight & Co. for a story on the resource-sharing benefits of co-working spaces and sustainable buildings. While the office sector is the most common for co-working, Lois Vitt Sale, Wight’s sustainability officer, was able to talk about how similar resource-sharing principles were applied to one of the firm’s current projects, The Hatchery, a food industry incubator undergoing construction in Chicago’s East Garfield Park neighborhood.
