Taylor Johnson client The Habitat Company‘s affordable housing roots run deep — from its first development 46 years ago to the recent announcement it closed on the $16 million acquisition and rehabilitation of a 153-unit, single-room-occupancy community in Chicago’s East Garfield Park neighborhood. Habitat’s new investment in East Park SRO is just the latest move by the firm to grow its portfolio across all its business lines: affordable, market-rate and condominium management. Knowing Habitat’s history with East Park would lend itself to media coverage — the firm developed the apartments in 1994 and has managed them since — Taylor Johnson secured coverage in various outlets, including GlobeSt.com, Bisnow, Multi-Housing News and REJournals.com.

The Habitat Company has just acquired East Park SRO and started a renovation project that's scheduled to be completed next May.
