Industrial Vacancy Hits Lowest Level Since 2008

The Chicago area industrial vacancy ended 2012 with the lowest numbers since mid-2008. The vacancy rate fell to 9.5 percent in the fourth quarter of 2012, just shy of the 9.4 percent that was recorded in the second quarter of 2008. According to Crain’s, distribution companies are very active and continue to take up space.
