Lendlease Brings The Outdoors In Through Biophilic Design

June 23, 2021

Neither rain nor sleet nor snow will keep residents at Cirrus condominiums and Cascade apartments from connecting with nature, thanks to one of the buildings’ shared amenities, The Conservatory. So, when Luxe Interiors + Design was interested in covering biophilic design, we introduced the magazine to Linda Kozloski, creative design director at Taylor Johnson client Lendlease, which is co-developing the two residential towers in Chicago’s Lakeshore East neighborhood with Magellan Development Group. Check out this Instagram post for details on the biophilic principles that informed the design of the Conservatory, which overlooks the development’s adjacent outdoor amenity, Cascade Park.

Residents of Cirrus and Cascade will share access to The Conservatory, a 900-square-foot space whose biophilic elements include abundant greenery, end-grain wood flooring, stone pebbles and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the adjacent Cascade Park.
