Haidilao Hot Pot, a China-based global chain, selected Taylor Johnson client James McHugh Construction Co. to build its first Midwest location on the second floor of the tri-branded Hiltons at McCormick Place. Unlike most restaurant projects, Haidilao Hot Pot requires an extensive exhaust system throughout its dining room as customers will be cooking meat and fish in seasoned broths at their tables. Team TJ spread the word about McHugh’s work with the high-end, Sichuan-style hot pot project, resulting in coverage in RE Journals, Sloopin, Connect Chicago, and Chicago Construction News.

McHugh Construction is the general contractor of a new Haidilao Hot Pot restaurant under construction in the Motor Row District of Chicago’s South Loop.
