Another vacant Dominick’s store is off the market. Chicago-based Tony’s Finer Foods has purchased the 96,014-square-foot Town Square of Schaumburg, a retail center previously anchored by Dominick’s, in a deal brokered by Taylor Johnson client Transwestern. Capital Markets Directors Janice Sellis and Paul Barile repped the seller, a pension fund managed by Transwestern, in the transaction. Tony’s, which plans to revamp the ex-Dominick’s store to fit its format, is one of several area grocers, including Mariano’s and Whole Foods, that have filled vacancies left behind by Dominick’s, which shuttered its 72 Chicago-area stores in 2013.
