CA, the global, vertically integrated real estate investment management company, today announced the delivery of nine student living communities totaling more than 3,900 beds – all completed in time for the start of the 2020-2021 academic year. With approximately 41,000 beds slated for delivery in the U.S. this year, according to RealPage, CA’s deliveries represent nearly 10% of that total, underscoring CA’s reputation as one of the nation’s leading student housing developers.
The newest additions to CA’s student portfolio are in prime locations near Auburn University, University of Minnesota, University of Nevada, Penn State University, University of Alabama, North Carolina State University and University of North Carolina Wilmington.
“Delivering nine student assets in one year is a record for CA and a notable accomplishment by industry standards,” said Michael Hales, president of student living at CA. “To have successfully executed on our biggest year ever while also navigating the countless, unforeseen challenges posed by COVID-19 is something we are all incredibly proud of. We are thrilled to be welcoming our staff and residents into these exceptional new communities – communities they can call home no matter what obstacles lie ahead this year.”
With campus operations in flux across the country, students living in CA’s communities can rest assured that properties will remain open, allowing them to complete studies from their campus-adjacent homes alongside their classmates. Residents have the option to choose a unit configuration that is best suited for their lifestyle – ranging from studio or one- to five-bedroom apartments, with bed-bath parity in most units. Residences feature carefully curated furniture packages, mounted smart TVs, high-speed Wi-Fi, modern kitchens with stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops, in-unit laundry and hardwood-style flooring. Some units have upgraded options such as rain-head showers with Bluetooth speakers and other property technology such as Nest thermostats, Amazon Alexa integration and Phillips Hue lighting controls.
All nine properties are managed and leased by CA’s full-service property management team. In addition to enjoying amenity suites customized to each property, students benefit from robust programming, designed to foster connection among residents, enhance study habits, encourage prudent financial planning and assist in attaining career goals.
