Lamar Johnson Collaborative (LJC), a full-service architecture firm, today announced two new hires for its growing West Coast industrial team. Working out of the Los Angeles office, Cory Adams joins as the region’s Industrial Market Leader and Principal, along with Michael Gee as an Associate Principal, providing leadership and business financial management for LJC’s expanding Industrial market sector.
“The experience Adams and Gee bring to LJC dovetails nicely with that of our existing talent while deepening our industrial expertise in this region,” said LJC President Sarah Jacobson. “We are confident their contributions will turbocharge our growth efforts and keep LJC’s name at the forefront with our industrial and advanced manufacturing clients building on the West Coast.”
“With their complementary skill sets and proven track record, both as individuals and as a team, Adams and Gee will play pivotal roles in advancing LJC’s success overall and establishing us as the go-to firm on the West Coast for innovative industrial design,” said LJC Industrial Market Leader David Junge, AIA. “This pair has spearheaded many successful projects working together in their previous roles, and we’re looking forward to their similar contributions at LJC.”
Adams brings over 25 years of experience in construction and architectural design, with a portfolio of industrial, commercial, residential, office, automotive and retail projects, including several large-scale fulfillment centers for a leading e-commerce company. Previously, Adams was Director of an architecture studio at a full-service design firm where he oversaw multiple industrial sector projects.
“I’ve long admired LJC’s leadership and approach and am excited to expand the firm’s already stellar industrial and advanced manufacturing practice to help achieve our ambitious goals for growth,” Adams said. “LJC’s industrial portfolio includes some very impressive projects, something we can build upon as we become more established in West Coast markets.”
Gee’s more than 15 years of experience covers industrial, commercial, data center, healthcare, higher education, government and master planning, with a focus on operations and project financial management. “LJC is rapidly developing a well-deserved reputation in this region for bringing creative design and technical acumen to the industrial sector, which is enhanced by its strong network of in-house partners as a part of Clayco,” Gee said.
