HSA Commercial’s Tim Thompson Finds 82,500 SF Facility in Broadview, IL for Central Steel Fabricators

February 23, 2015

Timothy Thompson, executive vice president and managing director of the Industrial Brokerage division, HSA Commercial Real Estate, represented Central Steel Fabricators, Inc. in the purchase of a 82,519-square-foot building at 2100 West 16th Street in Broadview, Ill. Central Steel, a manufacturer of steel products specializing in the communications industry, was forced to relocate after the company’s Cicero facility was destroyed by a five-alarm fire on the adjacent property that ultimately destroyed both buildings in January 2014.

Central Steel, which was founded in 1969, closed on the $2,525,000 purchase of the Broadview building in January 2015 and is in the process of resuming its operations in the new location.

“After this extraordinary situation and the loss of our old building, we are all very eager to start this new chapter for our company in Broadview.” said Mike Murzanski, owner of Central Steel. “We sincerely appreciate the help that Tim and HSA provided in working with us to find a location where we could restore our business and thrive for the next 40 years.”

The Broadview facility was previously occupied and sold by Midwest Motorcycle Mechanics, Inc.
