KZF Development Reaches 80-Percent-Sold Milestone at Meadow Ridge in Northbrook, One Immediate-Delivery Home Available

September 3, 2015

Northbrook, Illinois-based KZF Development has announced that homes have been moving fast this summer at Meadow Ridge, its private gated community of 164 luxury townhomes and duplexes in Northbrook. Currently, Meadow Ridge has one duplex available for immediate delivery and another scheduled for completion in early spring. Both duplexes offer three bedrooms and 2½ baths.

An early-delivery townhome is also under construction. Set for delivery in four months, the townhome has three bedrooms and 2½ baths.

Located at Waukegan and Founders roads, Meadow Ridge is a maintenance-free community resting on 40 acres in a park-like setting with natural landscaping, water features and a mile-long walking/biking path around the perimeter of the development. Homeowners have a choice between two townhouse floor plans and four duplex designs that all feature two- to three-bedrooms, 2½ baths and attached two-car garages.

“It’s interesting, because over the past year we have witnessed a much broader range of homebuyers, from young professionals to empty nesters drawn to the maintenance-free lifestyle Meadow Ridge offers,” said Suzy Friedman of KZF Development. “However, as the real estate market has gained momentum, it’s easy to see why such a variety of buyers are choosing Meadow Ridge.

“As one of the only gated, maintenance-free communities in the area, Meadow Ridge offers upscale, new-construction homes in the North Shore priced from the low $500,000’s. By comparison, most new-construction single-family homes in Northbrook are priced well over $1 million. It offers young professionals an affordable option in a thriving community and baby boomers the convenience of staying in the North Shore without diminishing their retirement accounts,” added Friedman.

According to Friedman another big draw to the community has been the mile-long trail encompassing the community and its walking-distance proximity to parks, shopping and dining opportunities.

“Residents at Meadow Ridge are very active. There is even a walking club that gets together regularly,” said Friedman. “And because of Meadow Ridge’s convenient location within walking distance to the Willow Festival Shopping Center that has a Starbuck’s, not to mention many more shops and restaurants, there is even a group of residents that like to meet up for coffee in the morning. Since our residents don’t have to spend time doing yard work or exterior maintenance, they have more time for activities like enjoying the outdoors and socializing with their neighbors.”

Townhomes at Meadow Ridge range in size from 2,236 to 2,699 square feet while duplexes range in size from 2,390 to 3,133 square feet, rivaling some single-family homes, but without the upkeep and high price tag. First floor master suites come standard in three duplex plans and one townhome layout. All home designs include open floor plans with gourmet eat-in kitchens that flow into spacious great rooms, making it ideal for entertaining. Additionally, all master suites feature walk-in closets and private master baths with a soaking tub, a walk-in shower and a private water closet.

Buyers can enjoy a full range of high-end standard features in their homes, including granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, Kohler plumbing fixtures, 42-inch upper kitchen cabinets, site-finished hardwood flooring throughout the main level living areas, ceramic flooring in entryways and baths, and plush carpeting in the bedrooms.

Residents of Meadow Ridge have convenient access to some of the finest shopping, dining and entertainment in the North Shore. Right next door is the Willow Festival Shopping Center, which has Whole Foods, REI, Lowes and Best Buy plus many smaller shops and restaurants. More shopping choices can be found nearby at Northbrook Court and Old Orchard, both of which are a short drive from Meadow Ridge. Meadow Ridge residents can enjoy the many amenities and activities offered by Northbrook’s award-winning park district, and the community is located within the highly regarded Northbrook school district 30, which includes Glenbrook North High School.
