Lexington Homes Kicks Off Sales for Lexington Crossing Townhomes in Rolling Meadows

February 12, 2015

Chicago-based Lexington Homes has announced the start of sales at Lexington Crossing, a community of 54 townhomes in downtown Rolling Meadows, Ill. Lexington plans to break ground in the next few weeks on three model homes that will showcase Lexington’s popular open floor plan designs.

“We are very excited to be part of the Rolling Meadows community and, in particular, its downtown area,” said Jeff Benach, co-principal of Lexington Homes. “In recent years, Rolling Meadows has made a strong commitment to increasing the town’s livability to create a healthier, more vibrant community. Some of the town’s initiatives include a community-wide bike system and a weekly ‘Farmers and Food Trucks’ event in the summer. Lexington Crossing will help further support those enhancements by providing affordable new-construction homes within walking distance of those and other community attractions.”

Located at Kirchoff and Library roads – minutes from Route 53 and Interstate 90 – Lexington Crossing offers townhomes ranging from 1,603 to 1,913 square feet. Homes are base-priced from $304,990 to $334,490, and buyers can choose from three floor plans that offer two to three bedrooms, 2½ baths and attached two-car garages.

“From millennials to baby boomers, more people in every stage of life have an increasing desire to live in proximity to stores, services and transportation,” said Benach. “As one of Chicago’s oldest private homebuilders, we have seen this demand grow in recent years. Not only are homebuyers looking for convenience in location, but they want it in the design of the home as well, including functional and flexible spaces like great rooms and larger kitchens with more countertop and seating space.”

While Lexington has been building townhomes for many years, the builder has continued to refine them by integrating national design trends including open floor plans and multi-purpose rooms, which have been popular with today’s single-family home and townhome buyers.

“All floor plans at Lexington Crossing are based on award-winning Lexington designs and include a finished lower level that serves as a flex room,” said Benach. “Buyers can use the space for whatever they want, be it a fitness room, office or home theater.”

Each plan also includes a master suite featuring a walk-in closet and private master bath with a soaking tub and/or walk-in shower and granite double-bowl vanity. Two of the plans come standard with a second spacious bedroom suite that includes a walk-in closet and private bath. Additionally, the two plans have a conveniently located second-floor laundry room adjacent to the bedrooms.

“Lexington Crossing has many different room configurations to choose from, making the homes much more customizable than most townhomes,” said Benach. “For example, our largest home includes a substantial laundry room adjacent to the kitchen on the main floor. But if a buyer chooses to have the laundry room upstairs, the kitchen would almost double in size.”

All plans at Lexington Crossing have a gourmet kitchen featuring a large kitchen island with a breakfast bar overhang and access to an expansive outdoor balcony. The open kitchen flows into the dining and great rooms, making it ideal for entertaining. One of the plans also features a main-level den that can double as an office or playroom.

Lexington Crossing offers a full range of high-end standard features, including granite countertops, energy efficient stainless steel GE appliances, 42-inch upper kitchen cabinets, 3-inch wide hardwood flooring throughout the main level and 12×12-inch ceramic flooring in entryways and baths.

Within walking distance to Rolling Meadows shopping, restaurants, and library, Lexington Crossing is also a short drive from the popular Woodfield Mall, Arlington International Racecourse and O’Hare International Airport. Additionally, Lexington Crossing is close to a variety of recreational offerings, including Salk Park, which provides opportunities for hiking and biking; and the Nelson Sports Complex, which includes an ice skating rink, Olympic-size swimming pool and a gymnastics center.

Lexington Crossing’s on-site sales center, located at 3245 Kirchoff Road, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. For more information or to make an appointment to visit Lexington Crossing, visit www.lexingtonchicago.com or call 847-299-0500.
