Lexington Homes Wins Five Key Awards for Interior and Architectural Design

January 18, 2019

Chicago-based Lexington Homes earned five 2018 Key Awards from the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago (HBAGC) at the 46th Annual Key Awards Gala on November 15. The builder was recognized for outstanding architecture and interior design at Lexington Heritage in Arlington Heights, Ill., and Lexington Pointe in Des Plaines, Ill.

In the interior design category, model homes featuring the Berkley and Summit floor plans at Lexington Heritage at Arlington Heights earned Platinum Key Awards, while models of the Coventry and Warrington designs at Lexington Pointe earned Gold Key Awards. In addition, Lexington Homes, along with architect BSB Design Inc., garnered a Platinum Key Award for the Berkley townhome floor plan at Lexington Heritage at Arlington Heights for multifamily architectural design.

“These models showcase our newest home designs, as we are continually updating and enhancing our floor plans with the latest finishes and more functional layouts per homebuyer feedback,” said Jeff Benach, principal of Lexington Homes. “The Berkley and Summit at Lexington Heritage are floor plans that live more like a single-family home with a wide layout, first-floor entry and open-concept main living space as well as a private backyard. The sophisticated features, paired with the stunning interior design by Eleni Interiors, result in spectacular townhome models, and we are honored that these homes earned the highest accolades in the Key Awards. And, what’s great is right now, we have a number of homes featuring these award-winning designs ready for immediate move-in.”

Benach added that thoughtful storage and flex spaces are also stand-out features of these plans. “The Coventry and Warrington designs have finished lower levels that can serve as an entertainment room or home office,” said Benach. “The Warrington also has a main-level office right off the kitchen, which is unusual for a townhome and appeals to buyers looking for an office or children’s playroom space near the kitchen hub. The Berkley and Summit both offer spacious basements, which can be finished – and, as the Berkley model shows, finishing this space adds an entire level of living and entertaining space to the home.”

Lexington Heritage at Arlington Heights is located at 3216 N. Old Arlington Heights Road, near two Metra train stations and just minutes from Route 53. The community offers homes in two styles. Homes in the Club Collection, which are two-story townhomes that are priced from $399,990 and measure from 1,649 to 1,950 square feet, have two to three bedrooms, 2½ to 3½ baths, attached two-car garages and unfinished basements. Both decorated models are from the Club Collection. Also available at Lexington Heritage is the popular Mews Collection of three-level rowhomes. Homes in the Mews Collection are priced from $359,990 and measure from 1,813 to 1,976 square feet with two to three bedrooms, 2½ to 3½ baths and attached two-car garages.

Located at 841 Lee St. in Des Plaines, townhomes at Lexington Pointe have two to three bedrooms, 2½ baths and attached two-car garages. Buyers can choose between two townhome designs measuring from 1,751 to 1,913 square feet, with prices starting from $354,990. The community is conveniently located in walking distance to shopping and dining venues in downtown Des Plaines and puts residents just two blocks from the Des Plaines Metra station.

Lexington Homes is currently offering a selection of immediate-delivery homes featuring many of these award-winning floor plans at both Lexington Heritage and Lexington Pointe. The builder also is offering a 3.99 percent 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage through its financing partner for any homebuyers who close on an early-delivery home between now and March 2019.

Move-in ready homes are available in all four designs – The Coventry, Warrington, Berkley and Summit – at Lexington Heritage at Arlington Heights, starting from $377,780. Multiple move-in ready homes featuring the Warrington plan are available starting at $369,110 at Lexington Pointe.

Lexington Homes plans to open sales for nearly 200 additional new homes in 2019. Currently, the firm has projects underway in Arlington Heights, Des Plaines, Morton Grove, Oak Park and Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood.
