Builder offers special offers and incentives at Chicagoland communities during September

M/I Homes of Chicago, one of the top homebuilders in the Chicagoland area, is inviting buyers to “Dream Big” about homeownership this fall with the return of its Dream Big sales event, starting Friday, Sept. 1, and running through Sept. 30.

“As a homebuilder, it’s always so gratifying to help our buyers realize their dreams regarding homeownership, whether it’s purchasing their very first home or personalizing their new home with all of the features and finishes on their wish list,” said Cheryl Bonk, vice president of sales and marketing for M/I Homes. “Our Dream Big event in September is the perfect time to make those dreams a reality thanks to the special offers, upgrades and financial incentives we have available, which can add up to substantial savings and help buyers’ budgets go even further than they anticipated.”

During the Dream Big sales event, available promotions will vary by community and floor plan. Special offers could include free Dream Kitchen features such as quartz or granite countertops, upgraded cabinets and stainless steel appliances, or a special ‘bonus pick’ that allows buyers to choose an upgrade of approximately $2,000 to $7,300 in value.

Sales written on Sept. 1 through Sept. 30 are eligible for a special below-market interest rate – resulting in significantly lower monthly payments than buyers would get with current average mortgage rates – or extended long-term rate locks when buyers use M/I Financial, a subsidiary of M/I Homes that offers financial services and mortgage programs. M/I Financial will also cover various amounts of closing costs, up to $6,000, with the below-market interest rate for qualifying homes and buyers.

“With interest rates still tracking higher than just a few years ago, many buyers see today’s subsequently higher mortgage payments as a hurdle to purchasing a home, or simply feel they don’t have the same buying power they once did,” said Bonk. “The below-market rate we’re offering as part of Dream Big, plus the opportunity for assistance with closing costs, makes it easier for some buyers to enter the market and in many cases makes it possible for them to get some of the upgraded features and special options that will truly make their new home their dream home.”
