Michelle S. Bendien Joins Lexington Homes as Director of Sales

March 24, 2017

Chicago-based Lexington Homes, the only local builder with communities in the city and suburbs, announced that Michelle S. Bendien has joined the firm as director of sales. Bendien brings 13 years of experience in residential real estate management and sales. In her role as director of sales, Bendien will oversee all sales managers and associates at Lexington’s current nine communities.

Bendien’s extensive career began during her tenure at Neumann Homes where she started as a sales agent and quickly moved her way up to regional sales trainer, and was responsible for the onboarding, training and certification of all sales agents. She also held a key management role at Wilcox Development Group where she was director of sales and marketing and was responsible for managing multiple sales representatives as well as opening and managing multiple communities from the ground up.

“Michelle’s impressive background in new home development sales and management as well as her experience as a real estate broker enables her to understand exactly how to maximize sales and make homebuyers’ experiences the best they can be,” said Jeff Benach, co-principal of Lexington Homes. “I am looking forward to working with Michelle to continue to evolve Lexington’s operation and further enhance the total homebuyer experience.”

Bendien was also recognized by the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago as one of the industry’s best and received the Diamond Award multiple years in a row. Most recently Bendien worked as a real estate broker for Belgravia Realty in Chicago.

“I’m excited to be joining such a highly accomplished builder like Lexington Homes, who has been successful within the Chicago real estate industry for more than 40 years,” said Bendien. “As part of the Lexington family, I’m looking forward to supporting the firm’s continued growth and helping further enhance Lexington’s position in the market.”

Lexington broke ground on four new developments in 2016 and plans to open five new communities in 2017. Its developments currently range from single-family homes and rowhomes in Chicago’s Bridgeport and Hyde Park neighborhoods to townhomes throughout the suburbs and single-family homes in Arlington Heights.

“We ended 2016 on a great note by closing on 96 homes,” said Jeff Benach, co-principal of Lexington Homes. “2017 should also be a good year, especially as more first-time homebuyers come to market, which we have already experienced.”
