Pathway to Living, a Chicago-based developer, owner and operator of senior living communities, has announced the start of pre-leasing at Heartis Village of Orland Park, a 96-unit assisted living and memory care community in Orland Park, Ill. The 89,622-square-foot property, which is being developed by Caddis Healthcare Real Estate, is expected to open in early 2018.
“We’re proud to partner with Caddis Healthcare in creating a senior living community that doesn’t just feel like home – it is home,” said Maria Oliva, chief operating officer at Pathway to Living. “At Heartis Village, residents will receive the personalized care they require while maintaining a level of privacy and independence that allows them to live meaningfully.”
Situated on a 3-acre parcel at 7420 W. 159th St., Heartis Village of Orland Park will feature a mix of 72 assisted living apartments. Available floor plans, which range in size from 371 to 1,032 square feet, include one-bedroom/one-bath, one-bedroom-plus-den/one-bath and two-bedroom/two-bath layouts, each with a kitchenette.
The property will also offer 24 memory care studios on the ground level in two layouts: one with a private shower and one with a shared shower. The studios’ square footage ranges from approximately 260 to 360 square feet. Residents of these units benefit from Pathway to Living’s A Knew Day memory support program.
In addition to the residences, Heartis Village of Orland Park will feature indoor and outdoor amenity space. Assisted living amenities include all-day dining in The Grove dining room; a separate bistro; movie theater and chapel; spacious community rooms; salon and spa; library and technology center; therapy gym and fitness center; doctor’s suite; and large secluded courtyard with a walking path and raised gardens. Memory care residents will have access to their own private courtyard, offering a secure setting where they can enjoy the outdoors.
The experience of Heartis Village of Orland Park will be enriched through Pathway to Living’s award-winning VIVA! philosophy, where social, educational and recreational programs are matched with residents’ interests, skills and desires. For example, Art Path teaches techniques used by famed artists, sculptors and curators, while overnight excursion Camp Viva! provides opportunities to fish, swim, practice archery and ride horses.
“Pathway to Living sees aging differently, as evidenced by our immersive signature programming that helps older adults looking for the freedom to live life to the fullest,” said Oliva. “Heartis Village will join our other properties in offering unique, life-enriching programs.”
Located at the intersection of 159th Street and Harlem Avenue, Heartis Village of Orland Park is conveniently nearby retail and restaurant offerings such as Tinley Park Shopping Center and Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant. The community also is a short drive from Interstates 80 and 57.
Heartis Village of Orland Park will be the second Heartis-owned community to be managed by Pathway to Living. The company also manages Heartis Place of Peoria, a 108-unit assisted living and memory care community in Peoria, Ill., that opened in 2016.
An on-site welcome center showcasing Heartis Village’s finishes, services and amenities is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
